For instance, a simple workflow might include an email notification and an inventory of deliverables, however, a more complicated formal workflow may involve several software systems that collaborate to complete a step of the process.
Begin by putting the process in Mind
Begin by identifying a particular process you’d like improved. It could be as simple as how you send emails, or as complex as how your accounting department processes billing. Once you have a clear understanding of the process you can gather your team together and discuss the steps to be taken. Note everything down and identify any obstacles. This will help you plan the process which will help you identify areas where the process could be improved or streamlined.
In addition to identifying the steps, figure out the time each step will take. This could be based on past experience, through estimates or by analyzing current analytics. The setting of deadlines and milestones will help everyone to stay on track.
