Creating a competent community of sports officials who play a key role in developing Ohio student athletes into good citizens of tomorrow. Greater Dayton Track and Cross Country Association dues are $10 per year or the fees are waived if you work the Dale VanTine Jr. High Track and Field Classic. The Mid-East Cross Country Meet At Indian Riffle Park

The Mid-East Cross Country Championships presents the best high school men & women senior runners from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and other area states. In past years Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia have participated. The event provides an excellent regional forum that supports the athlete and college coaches looking for new talent. It is sponsored by the members of the Greater Dayton Track and Cross Country Officials Association and the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches. The race has been held annually since 1987. The 2018 running of the Mid East Cross Country Championships will take place on November 17, 2018, at Indian Riffle Park, Kettering, Ohio. From OHSAA: In January 2011, the OHSAA Board of Directors adopted a sports regulation which incorporated the National Federation of State High School Associations(NFHS). On April, 26, 2013, legislation adopted by Ohio's General Assembly on concussion and head injuries in youth sports became effective. On February 14, 2013, the OHSAA Board of Directors mandated that these regulations become effective on April 26, 2013 for the remainder of the spring sports season and thereafter. *Any student while practicing or competing in an interscholastic contest, who exhibits signs, symptoms, or behaviors consistent with having sustained a concussion or head injury(such as loss of consciousness, headache, dizziness, confusion, or balance problems) shall be immediately removed from the practice or contest(By the official, referee, or coach). THIS ATHLETE MAY NOT RETURN TO PRACTICE OR COMPETITION ON THAT SAME DAY.
